Uncountable number of gifted kids end up in the streets as hawkers as a result of funding. According to UNICEF, 3.3 Million Children drop out of school between Primary One and Junior Secondary School One (JSS 1) because of poverty and inhibiting factors. This is a big waste to our country as we are denied of valuable impact these children would have had on humanity in general.
Amongst these street kids are potential inventors and change makers with destiny paths now turned around to an unpredictable, lawless street world that ends up leaving them in the hospital or prisons as victims of accident, drug abuse and a lot of other social vices; they become miscreants that rule the street and cause negative impacts on others.
Looking at this problem critically, what we have discovered at Glovision Charity Foundation is that the real accident lies in the lacuna that exists in our system which does not provide a buffer for less – privileged families to take their wards to school. Having identified that loophole, we try to fill the gap by placing identified indigent talented kids (primary and secondary school) on scholarship.
We also visit schools to motivate the student through seminars and provision of books and other educational resources.You can support this project by donating towards the project or volunteering for our projects and activities.
